Fluoride Leaching of Titanium from Ti-Bearing Electric Furnace Slag in [NH4+]-[F?] Solution

The effects of F? concentration, leaching temperature, and time on the Ti from Ti-bearing electric furnace slag (TEFS) by [NH4+]-[F?] solution process was investigated to reveal mechanism kinetics titanium. results indicated that rate obviously increased with increase temperature concentration. kinetic equation obtained, activation energy 52.30 kJ/mol. fitting equations calculated values both TEFS controlled surface chemical reaction. semi-empirical consistent real experimental results, a correlation coefficient (R2) 0.996. reached 92.83% after at 90 °C for 20 min concentration 14 mol/L [NH4+]/[F?] ratio 0.4. rates Si, Fe, V, Mn, Cr were 94.03%, 7.24%, 5.36%, 4.54%, 1.73%, respectively. Ca, Mg, Al elements converted (NH4)3AlF6 CaMg2Al2F12 in residue, which can transform into stable oxides fluorides pyro-hydrolyzing calcinating.
